My Planner — Money, Life & Schedule

Information the app stores

My Planner stores information that you enter into the app, such as accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, calendar items, appointments, bills, recurring transactions, notification preferences, and related notes.

Local storage

The app is designed to work offline. A local copy of planner data may be stored in your browser or installed PWA on your device so the app can continue working without a network connection.

Cloud sync

If you sign in with Google and enable cloud sync, planner data is stored in the Firebase project used by this app. The current Firestore rules are designed so a signed-in user can access only data stored under that user's own account path.

Google sign-in

When you use Google sign-in, the app may receive basic account information provided by Firebase Authentication, such as your display name, email address, profile photo, and unique user identifier. This information is used to sign you in and associate your cloud data with your account.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app may store a browser/device push token in Firebase so reminders can be delivered. Reminder records can contain the title, timing, and summary needed to send a notification. Notification permission can be changed in your browser or device settings.

Data sharing

The app does not contain advertising code and does not intentionally sell personal data. Data may be processed by services required to operate the app, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Hosting, and Cloud Functions when those services are enabled.

Backups and deletion

You can export a JSON backup from the app. Resetting local data removes the local copy but does not automatically delete a cloud copy. Cloud data deletion should be handled separately before permanent account closure if that feature is later offered.

Security

The app uses HTTPS when hosted on Firebase Hosting and includes owner-only Firestore rules. Additional production protections such as Firebase App Check should be enabled before public distribution.

Changes to this policy

This policy should be updated whenever the app's data practices or connected services materially change.
